T O P I C R E V I E WHappyendgirlfor example i chat with a psychic and give her a fake name and a fake situation would a real psychic start reading the situation or would she say im not picking up on the situation?HRH-FishAreFishBut what if you are psychic too? And what if...what you are perceiving to be a product of your fertile imagination (the fake person and event) is actually the PSYCHIC YOU pulling a real name & situation out of the cosmic stream?LOve & LIght ,StephanieRandallWelcome!PixieJaneMy GUESS would be that names would mean little, she'd attune to the person you were thinking of (that is, who inspired the name or who the name reminded you of) and something similar for a fake sitch, that is if you make up something about your grandmother dying and borrow experiences from a great aunt or someone else's grandmother then she'd attune to that instead. Most strong psychic experiences I've read & heard of (and seemed believable) sounded more attuned to dream imagery and with a lot of difficulty with things like reading (for example, people astrally traveling often report they can't read street signs, though they can recognize the shape of a stop sign, for example, and intriguingly enough while they can't read a love note, they COULD "get the gist of it" by feeling the emotion poured into it). That leads me to think that the "psychic" part of the brain isn't good at compartmentalizing and so it could easily latch onto something related (like the inspiration for a false story), confusing it for reality, and skipping your fake story to get at the emotional story in your subconscious that inspired the lie (that is the psychic is fooled by the lie, but her ability has rather latched onto the inspiration itself to read that instead). Obviously, this assumes she has a remarkable ability to read people over the computer in the first place rather than just an "entertainer." LexxigramerInteresting topic.
